Preschool gymnastics
Pre Gym
Pre Gym is a structured preschool gymnastics program that teaches young children how to move their bodies confidently through balancing, jumping, landing, rolling, swinging, and more. The classes are themed and incorporate free play, group activities and circuit-based gymnastics.
Active participation and assistance from a parent or guardian is required.
Ages: Two and a half to four yearsKinder Fun
Kinder Fun teaches the basics of gymnastics with a strong emphasis on participation, teamwork and safety. Sessions focus on core physical skills such as balancing, catching, running, jumping, kicking and throwing.
The program is an introductory level to gymnastics and provides a foundation for confident movement in all physical activities and sport. It also establishes a strong skill base for more advanced gymnastics.
Our coaches ensure the gym equipment is set up safely and guide each session to ensure a stimulating environment is provided for your child to engage in self-directed play.
Ages: Four to five years -
School-age gymnastics
Launchpad gymnastics
Launchpad is a suite of Gymnastics Australia kids gymnastics classes. Sessions are taught through fun, engaging and sequential activities and focus on fundamental movement skills.
The program also aims to develop life skills including confidence, self esteem, discipline, body awareness, strength, flexibility and movement foundations from which the basis of all other sports are formed.
The YMCA Launchpad program involves all apparatus and gymnastics disciplines.Gym Basics
Ages: Five to six yearsGym Skills
Ages: 9 years and overGym Skills Advanced
Once students have progressed through the Gym Skills program, or have prior experience with gymnastics, they can be assessed in centre as to whether they can progress to this level.
Ages: Ability-basedGym4All
Gym4All is a beginner gymnastics class for teenagers. The class encourages teenagers to try new skills and develop their experience using gym equipment such as bars, beams, trampolines and more.
This class is suitable for teens who have not participated in gymnastics before. This class will develop skills for the intention of moving into our Launchpad program.
Ages: 10 to 16 years -
Inclusive gymnastics programs
Access gymnastics
A semi-structured / unstructured class with free play, an optional group warm up, an optional circuit around the floor and an optional group game.
The program is tailored to the individual needs of each participant, providing an engaging and supportive environment for children to develop balance, confident body movements, functional strength and flexibility.
Ages: Fives years and overGoZone
A structured class which will complete a group warmup, and circuits around three apparatuses.
Participants in this class will attend without a carer / guardian and are expected to be able to follow instructions somewhat independently.
Ages: Five to 12 years oldSpecial O
A structured class which will complete a group warmup, and circuits around 3 apparatuses.
Participants in this class will attend without a carer / guardian and are expected to be able to follow instructions somewhat independently.
Ages: 12 years and overPlease note: all gymnasts will initially attend an access class to meet the coaches and assess which class offered is the most suited to them. -
Casual gymnastics
Play Gym
Play Gym is a casual gymnastics session where children can advance their fine and gross motor skill development through exploration, discovery and play.
Our experienced staff set up creative, age-appropriate activities designed to engage your child’s interest and imagination. A staff member is available throughout the session to offer assistance and guidance where needed, however active supervision and participation from a parent or guardian is required.
Ages: Children from nine months to five years -
Adult gymnastics
Our casual adult gymnastics classes cater to everyone from beginners to current or ex-gymnasts who want to practise their skills.
Our adult classes provide a fun, safe, supportive and challenging environment to learn new skills and find out what your body is really capable of.Discover the many benefits of gymnastics, including:

Competitive gymnastics
Gymstar is a recreational and competitive gymnastics program for boys and girls aged from five years and above.
The Gymstar program follows the Gymnastics Victoria framework which enables students to develop their skills, technique and execution – as well as gain experience participating in internal and external competitions.
Gymstar classes are grouped according to age and ability. Our gymnastics coaches regularly assess students and once a level is achieved the student can move to the next class.Junior Gymstar

YMCA ‘GYMNASTICS TWO WEEKS FREE PROMOTION’ - TERMS AND CONDITIONS (Terms)
OFFER AND ELIGIBILITY
This ‘Gymnastics Two Weeks Free Promotion’ (Promotion) is offered by Victorian YMCA Community Programming Pty Ltd (ABN 75 092 818 445) of 502/990 Whitehorse Rd, Box Hill VIC 3128 (YMCA).
By participating in the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
The Promotion is available at Moonee Valley YMCA Gymnastics Club, Bellbird Park Indoor Centre, Boroondara Sports Complex and Macleod Recreation & Fitness Centre (Participating Centres) between the dates of 21 January 2026 to 4 March 2026 (Promotion Period).
To be eligible for the Promotion:
- You must not be an existing gymnastics member at the relevant Participating Centre.
- You must become a gymnastics member at that Participating Centre and commit to terms set out by the Participating Centre within the Promotion Period.
The Promotion is not valid in conjunction with other offers, unless approved in writing by YMCA.
SIGN UP TERMS
- Participants are eligible for two weeks of free gymnastics classes when sign up occurs during the Promotional Period.
- A credit will be applied to your account prior to the first debit once you have signed up.
- If you meet the criteria set out in clauses 1(d), we will give two weeks free.
- The Promotion is only available at the Participating Centres.
- The Promotion requires a minimum commitment of eight (8) weeks.
- All sign ups will incur the Gymnastics Registration Fee as specified by centre.
- If cancellation is requested within this period, a minimum of 2 weeks' notice is required.
PRIVACY
YMCA handles all personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy at https://victoria.ymca.org.au/privacy-policys.
MISCELLANEOUS
- YMCA reserves the right to amend, cease, extend and / or revoke the Promotion prior to the end of the Promotion Period in its sole discretion and without notice.
- To the extent permitted by law, YMCA will not be liable to any person for any cost, loss, damage, liability, expense or claim arising, whether directly or indirectly, in connection with the Promotion.
- Any dispute or situation not covered by these terms, will be resolved by YMCA management in a manner it deems to be fair (acting reasonably).
- These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
- Members will be bound by their terms of membership with YMCA. To the extent of any inconsistency between the terms of membership and these Terms, these Terms will take priority.
